| US denies N Korea nuclear deal
The United States has rejected rumours it has signed a deal to persuade North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons.
Representatives of six countries are gathering in China for talks on the issue.
A Japanese newspaper has reported the US and North Korea signed a memorandum last month on energy assistance to North Korea.
But US envoy Chris Hill denies this is the case.
"We did not sign anything," he said.
"We had a very good discussion and we talked about what we might do at
the next six-party talks, and we had a useful discussion - we did not
sign anything."
